Week 9 23rd- 27th April
1) Read the articles on the links I have put up on the class blog, for Term 2 (Week 9)

Online research: Find out what career pathways there are in horticulture. Find information about 5 different jobs which are linked to horticulture or require training in horticulture.
This will be used as the basis for a class discussion and completion of a worksheet.
2)On your blog: Write details about what you did in horticulture on Monday (23rd April), particularly:

we had a vister in called alan ferguson and he talked to us about landscaping
and design and other things to do with landscape and i think after that we went out
to aromoana to collect seaweeds for some reason

What went well?  everything went well but was abit tired though

What problem solving did you have to do? cant remember

How well did your class work as a team? very well

• What did you do today? maden wood things with names on it for bonsais
• What skills did you use? we used our designing skills
• What did you learn? where all the materials had to be placed
  

Horticulture 7th week term 1

1) wright the steps involved in maken bonsai trees on monday.

who taught you? joy.
what tools did you use? sissors, chop sticks and other exciting tools.
where were you working? in the white tunle house in L block.
did you choose your own tree or did you get given one? we chose our own trees.

2) reflect on what you learned.

was it easy or chellenging? it was quite easy.
did you injoy it? yup.
what skills did you learn and could you use them in tother situations? well for starters i learned how to. make a bonsai tree and shape them so if i wanted to make one at home i could.
did any problems come up if so how did you solve them? no problems came up.

3) wright up the steps taken towords the development of the bonsai garden with jamie on wednesday.

what skills did you use? our bonsai maken skills and our designing skills.

Horticulture 6th week term 1

)Write up the steps done towards your bonsai garden project this week ( for example, collecting rocks from the quarry).


* When we got to horticulture yesturday 14th of march we had to build these wood square things for the compost that where going to put around by the chickens in L block.

* also in the room where we are making out chapanese garden had to lay down some wet news paper and on top of the news paper we had to lay down a big long bit ov plastic and the reson we lay down the wet news paper before the plastic is so that the roots dont grow up nd rip the plastic and we had to put down the news paper and plastic along where our pond is going to be and after all that we put some of our big rocks in the middle spreaded out along the pond for our stepping stones.

* we went to the quarry to go and collect some rocks then drove back to campus and we had to go back and foword to get the rocks off the trailer using a wellbarrow and to carry the biggest rocks we used a box carrier thingy and we just tipped the rocks into the chapanese garnden.

1) Write a paragraph about the activities at the Malcam Trust. Include details about how you worked as a team member and what problem solving needed to be done by the group.

In the activities at malcam trust we had to do some team building stuff witch was alright in away, first we did some circle thing had to move place to place alot was alryt then we did some chucking three frogs in a mini circle and had 2 remember what order  our throwz went and s*** thats fun sorter lol the one i like most is the game puzzles aye was algoooodz, i was in a team thing once had to build like straw towers or sum s*** but then after that was really any more team stuff aye
